Campaign structure
The campaign has been in existence since 2001 and has developed an infrastructure to enable increased and sustained campaign activity across the UK and Ireland. The campaign has:
An Advisory Council that offers advice, guidance and support for the development of the Stop it Now! UK & Ireland Campaign. Membership of the Council reflects the ethos of partnership which underpins the campaign and includes representatives from government and statutory agencies, leading children’s and other voluntary agencies, survivor groups, NOTA and faith groups.
A Campaign Co-ordinator whose task is to manage and oversee the strategic development of the campaign. The Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s Director for Research and Development includes the campaign co-ordinator in his role and is directly responsible to the Chief Executive of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
National Managers for Scotland, England and Wales who are responsible for promoting and delivering the Stop it Now! campaign within each nation
Regional Co-ordinators for London, the West Midlands and Northern Ireland who are responsible for promoting and delivering the Stop it Now! campaign within each region
A Media/Communications Manager, employed by the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, whose first priority is to support the Stop it Now! campaign’s media, communications and social marketing activities
A Helpline Co-ordinator who is responsible for the smooth running of the helpline and for its promotion
A Helpline Team which is made up of sessional and full-time workers who are supported by a team of experienced senior practitioners and therapists and a manager
A Central Administrator who is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support for the campaign co-ordinator and for acting as a central reference point for the dissemination of information between the co-ordinator, Stop it Now! post holders, partnership agencies and external stakeholders
