We were set up in late 2007 to build the provision of a child sexual abuse prevention programme for and within Scotland.
To do so we have a three-year National Strategic Plan supported by a National Manager and overseen by our National Steering Group. Our strategy is in line with the national strategic framework set by the Scottish Government particularly to contribute to a healthier Scotland and a safer and stronger Scotland.
Our main priority areas of business are:-
• public information on sexual abuse and sex offending and
• the identification of gaps in services for our key target groups and working for the development of services
Our initial core funding has been provided by the Scottish Government.
