Stop it Now! Wales is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
It has one full time member of staff and is supported by a multi-agency steering group which meets quarterly. The Stop it Now! Wales campaign manager is hosted by the NSPCC in Wales.
The Stop it Now! Wales campaign’s main activities include disseminating information around preventative measures that adults can take to protect children from sexual abuse. This includes delivering training to multi-agency professionals, as well as our Parents Protect preventative course for parents.
We are also undertaking a pan-Wales consultation to review of the services and interventions that exist to prevent the sexual abuse of children in Wales on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government and the National Assembly for Wales Children and Young People’s Committee.
In July 2010 we launched the Commit to Prevent! / Ymrwymo i Atal! campaign ahead of the 2011 Assembly election.
